Full Job Description

The Activities Coordinator contributes significantly to client's happiness, social interaction, and overall quality of life. Their role extends beyond planning activities. The role is about creating meaningful experiences, that align with therapeutic goals, while fostering a sense of belonging.

The Activities Co-ordinator will deliver a range of events including arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, outings, and games, considering residents individual preferences, abilities, and health conditions. They will also encourage clients to remain active, tapping into the resources at the Care and Rehabilitation centre outside of planned events.

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • To liaise with the nursing and therapy staff regarding the client's abilities, needs and desires

  • To risk assess and evaluate the activities offered

  • To develop a 7-day activities schedule

  • To actively participate in the activities, both at CRC and in the community, offering support and guidance to the clients and staff members as required

  • Research and seeking out relevant opportunities

  • Coordinate meetings with external providers to arrange bookings and discuss requirements and costings

  • Planning and coordinating the wider project activities

  • Administrative duties, phone messages, timetabling and diary updates

  • Undertake any personal care tasks as required when working with a client at CRC, or the community ensuring dignity is always maintained, Actively participating in learning, development and feedback opportunities.
