Full Job Description

+ To plan and run a range of therapeutic activities that are appropriate for the needs of patients in agreement with the multi-disciplinary team.
+ To ensure patient safety is always maintained.

An exciting opportunity has arisen across wards based in Maidenhead and Slough for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic band 2 Activity coordinator for a full-time post (37.5hrs), + Effective communication skills both verbally and written
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team
+ Flexibility in terms of assuming reasonable duties to facilitate the smooth running of the service across both sites
+ Willingness to learn new skills and attend study sessions

The post includes working weekends and Bank Holidays. Regular shift pattern of 0800 to 1600 with time being negotiable and adjustable.
Henry Tudor and Jubilee wards are community inpatient hospital with a total 45 beds over the 2 sites. We are a very friendly team with In-House doctors, Nurses, health care assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Multi Therapy assistants.
The role aims to support patients in increasing rehabilitative goals and functional abilities during a short stay to enable them to return home.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated staff, who can co-ordinate and lead a programme of therapeutic activities for patients appropriate to their rehabilitation needs, provide effective communication skills, a flexible approach, and an ability to work independently under pressure. To ensure patient safety is always maintained.
