At Leicestershire Partnership Trust we have an exciting brand-new job opportunity within our Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) Wards as an Inpatient Activity Coordinator based on Coleman Ward at Evington Centre, Leicester General Hospital site. Coleman ward is a 19 bedded unit, caring for patients mainly over the age of 65, living with Dementia. The ward also cares for patients who have enduring mental health illnesses such as Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar or Parkinson's.
As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will be based on the ward delivering and facilitating 1:1 and group activities that will meet a range of needs for our inpatients including physical, mental and social wellbeing. You will also work closely with the multi-disciplinary team such as Medical, Nursing, Therapy and Psychology staff as well as the Wellbeing and Engagement Officers.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated, creative and passionate about delivering excellent care to our patients., As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will collaborate with a wide healthcare team to create individualised activity timetables that promote mental, emotional, and physical health. Creativity, compassion, and organisational skills will help transform the inpatient experience, making a positive impact on wellbeing and patient satisfaction., subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK. For all jobs the cost of any DBS disclosure required will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary once started.
