Actuarial Internship

You will learn from experts in their field and experience a fantastic culture, all whilst developing your brand and gaining vital skills that will pave the way to a fantastic career., There is a variety and breadth within this internship, and you could find yourself within our pricing, capital or reserving teams. You can expect to be working on projects that will include preparing and analysing internal and external data for pricing purposes, working on inflation calculations, modelling claims cost for current & future customers, and assisting with implementation and optimisation of pricing algorithms. Further opportunities will include working within the capital area updating assumptions in the internal capital model and assisting with the allocation of capital to individual business units.

We want your individualism, capability, and ambition to shine through. You will need to have a zest for learning and a willingness to be hands on in the role. You will need to be a Graduate in your penultimate year of study in a Mathematics, statistics, or other highly numerate discipline. The best attributes to have for this internship are to be an effective communicator, with strong numeracy and mathematical skills. Basic programming and technology skills (Excel, VBA, R) will be an advantage. Location - London/Horsham/Liverpool/Leeds. At RSA, we offer our internship students the opportunity to be considered for our graduate programmes. As we are unable to sponsor visas for our graduate programmes as they do not meet the current UK government guidance, we can only accept candidates who will not require visa sponsorship, at any point, for our internship opportunities.
