Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly changing area of ADHD assessment and treatment. Tower Hamlets has a small, but dynamic ADHD assessment and treatment service. Given the high public profile and growing demand, this is a fast changing field of work. We are an innovative and highly motivated team and are looking for a Pharmacist prescribing colleague to cover 12 months of maternity leave. ADHD affects up to 4% of adults in the UK. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in this rewarding and developing field and to assist us in the evolution of this service.

  • Advising on medication to colleagues in clinic
  • Dealing with medication queries from GP's
  • Offering annual reviews of medication
  • Titrating and optimising medication
  • Referral screening
  • Line management of Band 5 Administrator
  • Supporting Operational Lead with day-to-day functioning of service
  • Service development
  • Potentially assessing ADHD

This Non-Medical/Pharmacist Prescriber role is both a clinical and managerial role within the specialist ADHD clinic. Specifically the post-holder would be:
  • Advising on medication to colleagues in clinic

  • Referral screening
  • Line managing the Band 5 Administrator
