Full Job Description

To provide administrative support to the clinical team by demonstrating excellent administrative skills within a busy environment: word processing, keyboard skills, Excel and database skills.
Desired characteristics:
Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; be flexible with an adaptable approach. Be a team player., 1. To demonstrate effective communication skills in order to communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary teams, patients, and their carers.
2. To arrange and re-appoint patient appointments for chemotherapy and supportive treatments, out-patient clinics, and other related areas.
3. To prepare and provide clinic lists on a daily basis, ensuring patient records are available.
4. To admit and discharge out-patients and in-patients on iPM on a daily basis.
5. To ensure all in-patient waiting list forms are completed and placed onto IPM and photocopied on a daily basis. The photocopies to be filed accordingly.

The Cancer services department has an exciting opportunity for an administrative assistant in our Chemotherapy unit. The post holder will be based within the unit and will support the chemotherapy team. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to cope with sensitive situations.
