Full Job Description

Providing and receiving routine information which may sometimes require tact or persuasive skills to overcome barriers to understanding. This may involve providing and receiving of sensitive or complex information, providing advice, instruction or training where the subject matter is straightforward. In particular this will involve the following responsibilities: + Health and safety of the building + General day to day running of the practice + Responding to appropriate requests for information + Acting on correspondence - responding to, or referring to the appropriate person + Providing routine advice on areas of knowledge/expertise, in a manner relevant to the audience and topic area (ie patients, carers, complexity) + Liaison with partner services and organisations + Preparation/completion of routine documents, including letters, reports, presentations and forms e.g. purchase order requisitions, photocopying, filing + Handling telephone queries + Assisting patients/clients/relatives with non-clinical advice + Teaching and supporting new Admin team members and providing aspects of the team induction and training to new starters regarding the building and admin processes.Working for our organisation As a Trust, we remain bold and ambitious with plans for both service and system collaborative transformation over the coming years to improve the health and wellbeing of our local people through high quality care. We would very much welcome applications from all under-represented groups including women, people with disabilities, people from global majority backgrounds, and those from the lesbian, gay, bi and trans communities., The role will require capacity to make decisions, which may require consideration of a range of options, such as: + Judgements on how to deal with enquiries, patients/carers/external contact + Prioritising work, resolving conflicting diary appointments and schedule Responsible for data entry, text processing or storage of data compiled by others, utilising paper or computer based data entry systems. Particular systems used in this role are detailed under 'Specialist/Technical requirements'. This may include activities such as: + Taking and transcribing formal minutes + Producing statistical reports + Maintaining information systems, + In the event of exceptionally high levels of response, we reserve the right to close the post before the date stated above in order to prevent the number of applications received being unmanageable. We have a newly developed post for a band 4 admin lead within the Primary Care Directorate, this port will offer support to two integrated GP practices. £26,530 - £29,114 per annum, full time 37.5 hours per week. The role will support the front of house function for the identified practices and will link in closely with the senior management team.
