Full Job Description

This successful applicant will work alongside the Service Manager / General Manager in providing leadership, direction and support to administrative staff, whilst developing effective working relationships, efficient practices and a motivated workforce.

They would also support the Service Manager / General Manager in the management of waiting lists, in compliance with local, regional and national targets, policies and initiatives.

Main duties of the job

Key Result Area

1. Management of the administration teams.

2. Close supervision and monitoring of the waiting list to ensure that under service development and improvement quality standards are met. Coordinate admin team workloads to ensure that both the 18 week RTT target is met on a monthly basis. This will involve ensuring delivery to agreed standards and maximising productivity of staff equally within the service.

3. Budget management for administration team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated individual to join the ENT Management Team, you will cover Leicester Royal Infirmary site and support the expansion plan for the EMPCC at Leicester General Hospital site.

You will have experience in managing outpatient/inpatient activity along with extensive knowledge of RTT pathways's in a large complex service. First line management experience with the ability to prioritise and organise yourself and others for the achievement of targets and outcomes whilst working to tight deadlines and under pressure will be part of this role. You will work as part of a busy, positive and energetic team and will play an important role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Ideally you will have experience of using the hospital systems including HISS, Patient Centre, ORMIS, Nerve centre, ICE and DIT3.
