Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Medical Secretary to provide a comprehensive & confidential administration support for the consultant Psychiatrist and manage the admin support for the MARAC which is attended in rotation by all the team leads in Barnsley.

The successful candidate will be part of the admin Team to assist a high-quality reception and general administrative service for our service users, visitors & clinical staff at our James Barnes Centre, Kendray Hospital, ensuring confidentiality at all times.

NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent), or RSA/OCR llI typing or word processing (or equivalent), Essential organisational skills to be able to plan Doctors diary and arrange meetings.

Minute taking.

Excellent customer service/telephone skills to enable to manage the busy phonelines to the service.

This role is part of a wider Admin Team, and crucial to be able to use your own initiative and also work as part of a team.

Maintain organisation of room bookings held at James Barnes Centre.

You must have an ability to be flexible and a willingness to adapt to change in order to meet the demands of the post.

You must have excellent verbal & written communication skills and have good interpersonal skills.

Good general organised administrative skills to follow admin processes.

Experience of electronic client clinical systems are advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
