Full Job Description

The Dietetic single point of access referral to book is a busy, fast pace service with a high volume of different Dietetic specialty clinics and domiciliary visits to manage. The post would suit candidates that enjoy working in this type of environment.
The main duties of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient management of Dietetic outpatient referrals from receipt of referral to booking of patient's first appointment.
The role is computer based so good IT skills are essential.
The department runs on the EMIS patient record and booking system. Experience working with patient electronic record systems/booking systems is desirable.

Working for our organisation
The Dietetic single point of access referal to book team is based at Brierfield Health Centre with the community Dietetic team.
The single point of access referral to book team is a friendly team made up of 6 staff - 1 team administrator and 5 administrators. The team has support from the Dietetic Admin Lead as well as the wider Dietetic Management Team and Clinical Leads.
The Dietetic Department is one of the biggest in the region and has multiple bases across East Lancashire. The department covers a wide geographical patch across East Lancashire covering both inpatient and out patients services. The team manages all the Dietetic outpatient referrals., registering referrals
- sending out opt in letters
- taking telephone calls to book patient choice Dietetic appointments
- answering patient telephone queries regarding appointments
- booking clinic rooms
- supporting the referral to book process and data collection and quality

Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS)

The healthcare sector is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary. However, if you are applying for a post as a BANK worker, the payment must be made in full at the time of employment checks. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £42.90 and for a Standard Disclosure £22.90 which includes a small handling fee.

We are looking for an administrator to join our Dietetic single point of access referral to book team on a temporary post for 6 months
The post is Monday to Friday 8.30am till 4.30pm each day and is based at Brierfield Health Centre.
