Full Job Description

· Proactive in building and maintaining working relationships with customers, on-site teams and suppliers.

Main Tasks will involve:

General

· Daily communication with both customers, suppliers and site-based teams

· Working closely with the office-based Site Support Team, providing support where required

Purchasing

· Assist in the raising of purchase orders

· Process supplier invoices

· Raise queries with suppliers

· Ordering and co-ordinating delivery of goods

· Perform purchasing-based data entry

· Chase orders and monitor status

Projects

· Liaise with sales managers regarding quotes

· Resolve customer queries

· Maintain communication with site-based personnel, ensuring that all project-based requirements have been met

· Assist with creation of new projects on systems

· Send quotes to customers

· Chase up quotes

· Monitor project status to ensure that data is up to date, and raise any queries with the site support team

As well as being an excellent communicator and team player, a successful applicant would have the following characteristics:

· At least three years construction/engineering - based purchasing experience

· Highly organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail

· Have good knowledge of the entire purchasing process and be commercially aware

· Show confidence in interacting with people at all levels

· An ability to work under their own initiative, with good time management skills

· Be numerate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

  • Administrative experience: 1 year (required)
