Full Job Description

The position is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours will be agreed with your line manager to meet the needs of the service.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and efficient individual who enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment. You will provide a high quality general administration service for the Orthopaedic clinical administration unit.

We have one full time 37.5 hour position available at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

You will be adaptable, hardworking and have excellent communication and computer skills. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate strong team working skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.

Duties will include dealing with patient telephone queries, ordering and tracking patient notes, filing and scanning, booking of appointments and other admin tasks as necessary.

You will have strong prioritising and excellent organisational skills together with the ability to remain calm and collected in a busy and dynamic environment. With strong communication and interpersonal skills you will have the ability to formulate and implement solutions working with the clinical and management teams.

You will be self-motivated, adaptable, have excellent time management and a willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges whether working on your own or part of a team.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
