Based within Internally Provided Services, Adult Social Care, we are a team that provides administrative support to colleagues at all levels for various Provider Services Units. This varied role would cover a range of administration and leadership duties including administrative support to help run the various Provider Services Units across the city, dealing and resolving queries over the phone or face to face, working with various Council ICT systems, inputting of data for reporting purposes, maintain computerised and manual filing systems, retrieving information as requested, and ensuring that information is kept up to date, handling monies, note-taking. Provide team management support including performance management, supervision and development of admin staff who are located in each Provider Services Unit. The post is for 35 hours worked over 5 days (Mondays to Fridays) This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

We are currently looking for warm, positive and dedicated individuals to work in our Adult Social Care Internally Provided Services team, who can provide person centred support to adults and older people. In return, we would need you to have excellent communication skills, be flexible, be able to deal with a diverse range of people, be able to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy when dealing with difficult service users, manage conflicting priorities and own workloads. Have strong organisational and people management skills. Thrives in a busy and diverse environment with an ability to multi-task.
