Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated administrative apprentice to join our Pharmacy Team. The post holder will provide administrative support to Pharmacy teams across a variety of specialities across UHCW.
The post holder will be working under full supervision at all times and will support trained staff in providing confidential administrative activities to meet the needs of the service in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will be supported with their professional development and educational requirements, with a comprehensive internal training package alongside the UHCW apprenticeship scheme. On successful completion of level 2 training, there is scope for further educational support if desired., The Customer Service Apprenticeship programme will provide post holders with the opportunity to learn vocational skills by working as part of a busy Administration team, providing administrative support, whilst also studying towards a nationally recognised qualification in Customer Service., Post holders will be employed by UHCW on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract for the duration of the Apprenticeship programme, and will enroll with a local education provider to undertake the Customer Service qualification. Hours of work will be within the core office hours of 8.00am-6.00pm, working a maximum of 7.5 hours a day Monday to Friday for a minimum of 30 hours a week, and will include time to attend a study day on a monthly basis.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, dedicated and able to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the Apprenticeship programme. You must also be willing to work within a busy Administrative team.
All applicants must be:
Aged 16+
Resident in the UK/ EEA for the last three years
Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education
Respond to day-to-day enquiries referring to appropriate staff as necessary.
Process allocated workload on a daily basis.
Liaise with internal departments and on occasion external agencies where required.
Assist with maintaining manual and electronic filing systems as required by the department.
Utilise relevant Trust IT systems, as determined by the role, ensure all relevant patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines.
Undertake basic administrative tasks as required.
Input data onto computerised systems as required by the department.
Assist with the distribution of incoming/outgoing post.
Work within Trust and departmental procedures to ensure that standards and deadlines are met.
Provide appropriate cover in the absence of other members of the team

Depending on you level of exposure with patients you may be required to undertake a Standard or Enhanced DBS. The cost of this check will be charged to you and will be deducted from your salary over the first 3 months of employment at the current rate.

Working under supervision, the post holder will be required to achieve work-related competencies over the 15 month period in order to achieve the full Apprenticeship.
The full Apprenticeship framework will require post holders to complete:
Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service
Functional Skills - Maths and English (Level 1) if not already achieved
