Full Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administrative team. We currently have a vacancy for a part time Band 2 Administration Assistant in the Newcastle West Community Treatment Team based at Silverdale, Grainger Park Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 8RR. Hours are 22.5hrs Wednesday to Friday (inc)
The post holder must have proven administration experience and will be involved in working as a member of the admin team to support clinical staff and provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times. You will undertake a variety of duties including answering busy telephones, reception duties, dealing with day to day queries, updating patient information system , sorting incoming/outgoing post, completing work from a shared inbox/work tray as well as other administration tasks, all under the direction of the Administration Team Lead.

Candidates must have proven demonstrable experience in the last 12 months of the following:
+ Experience in last 12 months of working in a patient / customer focused environment (face to face and telephone) -
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
+ Fast, accurate typing/keyboard skills,
+ A good understanding of inputting data to a database system
+ A good working knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/office packages
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ A good understanding of electronic filing systems
+ Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
+ Well organised and structured
+ Ability to change tasks at short notice
+ Reliable and punctual
+ The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria you will not be shortlisted.
