Full Job Description

The post holder will provide a proactive and comprehensive administrative service, working as a member of the admin team to support clinical staff, within our Secure ward environments at Northgate Park, Morpeth.
Duties will include:
+ First point of contact for visitors to the ward
+ First point of contact for telephone contacts to the ward
+ Entry and egress of a Secure building
+ Monitoring of Security equipment (keys/ pagers/ alarms/ emergency mobile)
+ General admin - printing/ copying/ filing/ scanning/ archiving/ uploading to RiO/ document tracking on RiO
+ Managing petty cash
+ Booking taxi
+ Ordering stock/ supplies online
+ Managing ward car
+ Reporting and following up repairs/ maintenance/ porter requisitions
+ Booking meeting/ visitor rooms
+ Monitoring and maintaining shared ward diaries
The role will be a varied, no two days the same and we require someone who is able to use own their initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
The post holder will report directly to the Administration Manager but work closely with Clinical Team and clinical staff on a day-to-day basis.

+ Administration experience working within a team.
+ RSA/OCR Level 2 Typing qualifications or equivalent
+ Experience in a customer / patient and service user focused environment
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills. Reception experience advantageous.
+ A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training given to those who have not worked on this system before)
+ A good knowledge of Microsoft word/office packages and typing qualifications
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
+ Well organised and structured
+ Expectation to demonstrate flexibility in the role
+ Ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
