Full Job Description

  • Working across our Bay6 and Lancashire Young Carers Service

  • Inputting referrals to the system for Lancashire Young Carers and dealing with the referral pathways

  • Completing H&S Checks at Bay6

  • Administrative tasks with setting up tenancies

  • Administrative support to Managers and project staff

  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries

  • General reception duties


  • Are you an Administrative Assistant who can demonstrate good organisational skills, attention to detail, numeracy/literacy skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook? Then we'd love to hear from you!

    Bay6 Project: We have been supporting young people at Bay6 since 2004 we are a Supported Housing Project for 16 - 24 year olds, the service supports 17 young people at any one time over 3 buildings: Bay6 a 6 bed emergency unit with communal areas, Haddon Lodge 5 one bedroom flats & Belgrave Court 6 one bedroom flats which are located at another site in Leyland.

    Bay6 offers support to young people to gain and develop the skills needed to live independently through one-to-one support and Groupwork. Project Workers work with the young people to assess their needs and goals and develop support plans to ensure we are working together towards positive outcomes. The Service is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week with staff on the premises at night

    Lancashire Young Carers Service: We have held the Lancashire Young Carers Service contract since 2011 and are commissioned by Lancashire County Council in partnership with NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board.

    Our role is to identify and assess all Young Carers in Lancashire, work with the whole family to reduce the impact of caring, provide one to one and group work support based on identified needs, raise awareness of Young Carers needs with the overall aim of reducing the impact of their caring role
