Full Job Description

A Vacancy at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

To provide a comprehensive administration and clerical support service to the Doncaster LD & Forensic service based at 2 Jubilee Close with the occasional travel to support our North Lincolnshire LD team. The role will include the organisation of clerical workload, management of medical records and related documents, bed management information, receptionist, and audio Typing support to the medical team.

This will include dealing with queries from patients, service users, relatives and carers, inputting and updating data relating to the serviceand working with clinicians and partners for the service delivery.

If you don't already have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

5. Main Duties /Responsibilities

· Provide a confidential, quality administrative service to an identified pathway within the Care Group.

· Type letters from audio dictations under the supervision of senior staff.

· Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all service users have a positive experience at their point ofcontact

· Answer telephone calls as per agreedprotocols

· Occasional travel maybe required to support in all localities of the directorate, Doncaster, North Lincs & Rotherham to cover for illness and annual leave.

· To communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy where necessary, with written, telephone and face to face contact, with patients, visitors, other Trust staff and externalagencies.

· Create and maintain, up to date computerised patient records and recall systems on SystmOne.

· Update new referrals on to SystmOne. Maintain current referrals and end where advised to do so.

· Provide an efficient and timely photocopying and scanning service to theteam.
