Full Job Description

The office has a vacancy for an Administration Assistant to undertake general office duties such as data entry, filing, dealing with post, typing simple macroscopic descriptions of specimens. Successful candidates will be expected to work principally during core office hours Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.,

  • to provide administrative support to the department of Cellular Pathology
  • assist the Cellular Pathology Office Manager and by working as a team to make sure there are no delays in the workflow and output of office work

    Previous office experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of Grade C or equivalent in GCSE English is essential.

    The Department of Cellular Pathology (BWH Site) provides specialist gynaecological pathology services to the Birmingham Women's Hospital NHS Trust, which is a Cancer Unit, and to the Regional Gynaecological Cancer Centre at City Hospital, which is part of the Pan-Birmingham Cancer Network. The Department also provides Perinatal Pathology and Placental Pathology services to BWH and other hospitals in the region and beyond., Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is the first of its type in the UK.
