Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen within the Dermatology department for an admin assistant to support the wider secretarial team.
Dermatology are looking for a conscientious and hard working Admin Assistant to join our busy and friendly administration office.
This post is full time Monday - Friday, however flexibility in hours will be considered.., The successful candidate will be expected to provide a comprehensive administration service to the secretarial team and wider clinical team.
The post holder will also be expected to organise own workload in order to maintain an efficient and professional service.
The main duties are,
Post collection/delivery
Daily collection of notes from the library as and when needed
Case note management/ filing
Data input
Typing & approving letters
Handing out the post/results to consultants
Supporting the secretarial and clinical team with admin duties, + Provide a comprehensive clerical service to the clinical secretarial team, undertaking all work-related correspondence, photocopying, emailing, distributing reports and letters according to the requirements of the service,
+ Update case notes when patients have been seen, according to the agreed quality standard, locate and retrieve supplementary documentation for case notes as required, filing diagnostic reports and essential documents in the appropriate place,
+ Be able to use the required electronic systems for correspondence, clinic management and the retrieval of results, as and when required,
+ Maintain constructive relationships with others, within and across Divisions and externally in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services to patients,
+ Collect and deliver correspondence boxes for our clinicians at VIN.
+ Typing and approving clinical/results letters
