Full Job Description

The main emphasis of this role is to provide a comprehensive and courteous clerical service within the administration team.
Duties will include inputting date, answering the telephone and queries, maintaining patient's notes, opening and distributing post, operating IT systems as required and booking follow up appointments., If you're looking for flexible or predictable working arrangements, please speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate this. This role is part of the integrated health and social care community across Derbyshire, where there are many opportunities to work across different locations and providers developing new and different skills. Whilst this role is initially based in Chesterfield there may be future opportunities to be based at different locations within the health and social care community which we may talk to you about in the future.

We are currently looking to appoint a part time Admin Assistant to work in the Specialty Medicine Care Unit within the Medicine & Emergency Care Division.
This is an exciting opportunity within our Rheumatology Service providing data input of mandatory audit patient information. Working hours will be 22.5 hours per week preferably Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
To be successful in this role you will possess GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths and office experience. For example: excellent interpersonal and IT skills, and have relevant office experience. You must have effective communication skills and be adaptable to meet the service needs.
Knowledge of the hospital's patient administration system and previous healthcare experience are also desirable.
