Full Job Description

We are looking for a friendly person to work as part of the administration team for Herts Valleys Integrated Diabetes Service (HIDS), to assist the smooth operational running of the service.

This is a 6 month post to cover a career break.

HIDS is an integrated service working with our partner organizations to provide seamless care for people with diabetes in Herts Valleys.

You will undertake a wide range of tasks including full use of the SystmOne computerised patient records database for registering patients, making appointments, applying clinical rotas and dealing with tasks.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, carers, clinical staff, consultants, GPs and other health care professionals and will have contact with a range of people via telephone, email, letter, MS Teams and in person; including patients. You will liaise with the clinician of the day, escalating issues to the HIDS Senior Administrator as required. You will be required to use a variety of databases as required.

You will have personal responsibility for a number of delegated tasks outlined in a specific work plan and work flexibly as a member of the administration team to support the Herts Valley Integrated Diabetes Service (HIDS).
