An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Women and Children's Department at the NNUH. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support for the Operational Team. The post holder's main responsibilities will involve general office duties. The post holder will be required to deal with general office duties/queries including being able to use the hospital information systems to include patient administration system, the e-rostering system and supporting the team with purchasing. In addition, the post holder will be required to support meetings with the taking and typing of minutes including preparing and distributing agendas. The post holder will also need to be able to work as part of a team to assist in the smooth running of the service. - To undertake reception duties for the Department by operating and answering the telephone and retrieving messages from the answer phone
- To greet any personal callers to the department when required
- Dealing with general queries where possible and taking messages for colleagues.
- Using the Hospital Information systems including: The Patient Administration System and The E-Rostering System.
- Support meetings with taking and typing minutes, including preparing and distributing agenda.
- Dealing with and distributing all incoming and outgoing post to the department
- Photocopying various documents for the department as required
- To order stationary/equipment for the department and other items as directed
- To work as part of a team to assist in the smooth running of the service
