Full Job Description

The administration clerk acts as the first point of contact for clients offered the opportunity to attend a National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme course, resolving a wide range of queries. either verbally, written or in person. The majority of the role involves taking a high volume of calls daily and entering clients' confidential details into a booking database effectively and accurately. The successful candidate must evidence their experience of working in a customer care environment and be able to demonstrate a calm, positive and professional attitude. You must also be able to use your initiative to solve client queries that potentially may involve conflict and difficult situations. The role is 15 hours, working Monday and Tuesday 8.20am - 4.35pm with a 45-minute lunch. Please be aware, we may request to change your working days on an ad-hoc basis, therefore require flexibility where possible., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments.   • Be able to demonstrate excellent customer care using a variety of communication methods, therefore have the necessary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have experience of dealing with a high volume of phone calls, potentially involving conflict and difficult conversations.
  • Be able to accurately capture, store and retrieve personal information from computerised systems
  • Have experience of processing payments, including cash handling and credit cards
  • Be computer literate - especially a good working knowledge of MS
  • Have an awareness of the need for confidentiality
