Full Job Description

The Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre is looking for a motivated and dynamic Admin Manager to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging, fast paced role. Based in Myrtle Road Management offices, the post holder will play a pivotal role leading a team of administrators, whilst working closely with clinical and management teams.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients and demonstrate leadership, resilience, initiative and problem solving skills.

A proven track record in delivering service improvements would be advantageous and a passion to improve patient care is essential. In return, you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment, working with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff, in a role which is challenging but rewarding. In this newly created role, you will receive good support in the form of regular 1:1 meetings, appraisal and development opportunities, and exposure to senior management teams within the wider hospital and Trust., Staff Management

  • Manage, organise and support the administrative function across the teams to provide a good quality, timely service to both our internal and external users.

  • Manage the Band 4 Team Leaders, including managing team and individual performance, annual leave and sickness absence, and maintaining attendance records as required.

  • Ensure accurate staff rotas to ensure continuity of administrative services and adequate cover for the office function during periods of absence and leave.

  • To support formal Stage HR processes in both Performance and Sickness.

  • Ensure that the team demonstrate the Trust values in all aspects of their duties.

  • Complete HR process and documentation for all staff within the Admin Team for changes of conditions such as roles, address, marital status, maternity leave etc.

  • Support staff to access Workplace Wellbeing information and resources, and to highlight Trust projects such as Freedom to Speak up, Greener together, Arts and Culture programmes., welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
