Full Job Description

As an Administration Manager, you will manage and coordinate all administrative arrangements for our Advanced Apprenticeship and New Entrant Programmes, ensuring a smooth, efficient process from start to finish. You’ll also support partner organizations supplying our Foundation Degree, BEng, and Engineering Conversion Programmes, enabling the development of future rail engineers and leaders.About the role (External) • To lead and manage the shared service administration arrangements for Network Rail Apprenticeship and graduate programmes (Foundation Degree, BEng and Engineering Conversion programmes) to meet the business requirements and the needs of our customer. • Manage the Learner Management System (LMS) processes in line with requirements defined by the relevant apprenticeship standard or graduate programme outputs, overseeing student submissions, NVQ submissions, line-manager input, trainer input, progression, and user management leading to being able to measure the success of learning programmes. • Initiate intervention procedures when required, so that the academic and vocational outcomes meet the requirement of the apprenticeship standard or graduate programme to deliver successful completions of the relevant programmes by learners. • Develop and continually improve relations with key stakeholders, define and embed a customer centric culture where all team members consider the impact on customers and their future requirements • Support the Network Rail better day every day initiative by overseeing the adoption of weekly focus initiatives, coaching and empowering team members to innovate existing processes to drive continuous improvement in the department and wider organisation. • Drive an inclusive culture where individuals can be themselves and are free to challenge existing process without discouragement. Encourage a culture of operational responsibility where individuals take personal ownership for delivery. • Manage the delivery of a service to support the requirements of Professional registration for graduate engineers and all apprenticeships to enhance the capability of Network Rail. • Work proactively with business units, routes, human resources, and Apprenticeship Delivery Managers to continuously refine the delivery of services and assess their relevance to deliver a customer focussed apprenticeship service.

  • - Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously. - Strong communication and relationship-building abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. - A detail-oriented mindset with excellent time management and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment., • Experience of leading and empowering a team within a shared service centre environment • Proven analytical skills; ability to produce, interpret and work comfortably with management information in a KPI driven environment • Proven self-starter with the ability to motivate a team in high pressured situations leading by example • Excellent stakeholder management skills; a proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of colleagues within a large and complex organisation • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and/or customers) • Have the ability to make tough decisions needed to succeed and having the courage to honestly communicate those decisions Desirable • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification • Experience of managing improvement projects and processing high volume activity • Experience in LEAN or equivalent • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and/or customers) • Exceptional experience of KPI turnaround from underperforming to performing exceptionally • ORACLE eBusiness Suite experience
