Full Job Description

As an Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the management of administrative services within the Clinical Investigations Centre which includes Cardiology, Respiratory, Sleep and Neurophysiology diagnostics. You'll have responsibility for the provision of world class customer service delivered throughout the patient pathway from booking, reception, completion of investigations and sharing of results. You will be an integral part of the CIC leadership team and contribute to support change and improvement processes. They will also work closely with colleagues in the Outpatient and Primary care team.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • To lead the CIC Administration Team, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service to patients and Consultants.

  • Effectively contribute to the operational management of the CIC, ensuring environmental standards are maintained to a high standard and world class first impressions.

  • Operational management of the CIC reception and associated administration services.

  • Ensure delivery of departments objectives and key performance indicators in line with the wider hospital strategy

  • Facilitate the patient's experience by always providing a world class service to our patients through a seamless patient journey with a high level of customer care.

  • Undertake the day-to-day reception area duties for patients attending the CIC.

  • Respond to all enquiries regarding hospital facilities and to re-direct enquires to the correct departments. Deal with all Reception queries and complaints in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Ensure that all staff and patients are fully aware of hospital charges, ascertaining methods of payment and calling the appropriate teams for guarantee letters or insurance according to departmental and hospital procedures.

  • Greet patients in a polite and efficient manner.

  • Assist with bookings for the Cardiology, Lung centre and Neurophysiology departments with provision of instructions given to patients relating to the accurate and precise preparation for test procedures.

  • Assist with taking information from patients in a polite manner, updating patient details at each appointment, inputting all information accurately on the computer system according to hospital procedures., Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:

  • Managerial/Supervisory experience of working in a Hospital or Hotel Reception environment

  • Experience with implementation and project work

  • Excellent Administration skills

  • Proven experience of delivering customer services to an exceptionally high standard.

    £38,500-£40,000 + Excellent benefits


  • Full time hours - 37.5 (Shifts are allocated Mon - Fri between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Saturdays are included which is a 9am to 2pm on a rotational basis. Role is onsite only)
