Would you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other? Would you like to work in a Trust rated outstanding from CQC? If you answered yes, we would love to hear from you - come and join our team. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced administrative candidates to support the Neuropsychiatry Outpatient Team based at Walkergate Park. The Neuropsychiatry Outpatient Team is a specialist, planned care service which offers assessment, signposting and short term interventions to people with a neuropsychiatric condition which may arise as a result of head injury or other conditions such as Huntington's disease. The interventions provided are within a community or outpatient setting and aim to improve the quality of life for the service user and carer for example by decreasing psychological distress. Since the service provides only short term care of around 6 months this improvement is continued even after the service user has been discharged by liaising effectively with other services as well as charitable organisations to ensure continuity of care., Alongside the generic job description attached, main day to day duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • The provision of named admin support to identified members of the clinical team
  • Support the wider admin team during times of increased workload or staff absence with audio typing/formatting assessments, letters, medical reports and ad-hoc requests from central inbox
  • Communicating with service users on a daily basis
  • Preparation and taking notes of meetings
  • Phone calls and e-mails, the content of which can sometimes be of a challenging nature
  • Processing confidential patient information within the RiO electronic system
  • Updating spreadsheets in line with Trust Processes
  • Handling petty cash in line with Trust policies
  • Covering reception area during absence
  • Meet and greet service users and carers/family attending the outpatient department
  • The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills, as well as a working knowledge of office procedures including IT skills

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career, excellent staff benefits including discounts and services, car leasing scheme and an excellent pension contribution.
