Full Job Description

The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets. This list is not exhaustive. Remote working is not possible in this role

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a patient focused work environment, preferably in mental health services, and have the following core skills which are essential to the post:

  • Experience in a customer/patient and service user focused environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of the RiO system.
  • Demonstrate a high level of typing, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and proven IT skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated and contribute positively to the ward team overall.
  • Reliable note taking skills.
  • Well organised and structured.
  • Should be flexible and open to taking on additional tasks as they are identified.
  • Be able to work as a team and together with colleagues provide a robust admin service for all inpatient wards at Walkergate Park.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised individual to join theNeurorehabilitationAdmin Teamas an Administration Officerto Ward 1, Walkergate Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. Ward 1 is a 14 bed ward providing a behaviourally managed environment in which people with cognitive, emotional or behavioural outcome of an acquired brain injury can have access to rehabilitation. Ward 1 is a neuro-behavioural unit which provides specialist assessment, care and rehabilitation. It is based at Walkergate Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. Ward 1 cares for people with memory, emotional and behavioural problems and both minor and complex physical need., We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.
