Full Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for the day to day management and functioning of the secretarial, administrative and clerical service for the clinical specialty area/clinical specialty areas. The Team Manager will be responsible for the line management of the Medical Secretaries and administration staff and to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered by the team as a whole. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that patient pathway management processes and co-ordination is managed in accordance with the Trust's Access Policy and other National/Local targets ie Cancer, RTTMain duties of the job The job holder will be responsible for : The delivery of all key performance measures within their area of responsibility, will be expected to lead by example in developing a professional set of behaviours to deliver an enhanced service Lead their teams in the day to day delivery of their services against agreed service standards Develop and be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures Ensure all staff within their teams are managed appropriately in line with Trust policies ie Management of Attendance and the Trust Personal Responsibility Framework Ensure their service is delivered within budget through efficiency and lean processes
