Full Job Description

Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust currently has a full time, permanent vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Primary Mental Health admin team, working alongside the Secretary and the Primary Mental Health Workers who cover the whole of Northumberland. They will also have excellent communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to manage the office independently, whilst demonstrating a sound understanding of confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Access to Health Records Act and any other relevant legislation., The candidate will have excellent IT skills and will be required to assist in the general efficient running of the office. This will include typing, filing, retrieval and storage of patient records, Systmone, handling post and dealing with telephone enquiries.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
