Full Job Description

The Hackney Learning Disability team are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Administration Assistant to start immediately. We are an integrated team of social workers and health professionals. The candidate must have an administrative background preferably within the care sector that will be able to offer our team and service users first-class support. This is a full time role, 36 hours Mon-Fri. There is a flexibility of working from home twice a week. Clinic cover will also be needed at our Learning Disability Clinic in St Leonard's Hospital for our face to face appointments. The person would need to be able to offer organisational support to the team and to be able to contribute towards the service's aims & objectives, whilst providing a welcoming & efficient administrative service. Duties include responsibility for front door activities, dealing with the duty phones and initial queries, coordinating health appointments, signposting to support available within the service & the community, keeping accurate information & data recording. The successful candidate must have experience of admin responsibilities including minute taking and working in a clinical environment with vulnerable people. Key duties: -Taking minutes at all meetings - ( including Safeguarding, Court of Protection, Management & clinical meetings). -Responding to duty calls, -Scheduling and arranging meetings, -Managing the Google spreadsheets. -Managing and prioritising referral waiting lists, -Processing sensitive service users information and liaising with social workers, -Working with our service users and third parties over email/phone and face to face. -Working with data. -General administrative duties

Excellent IT and word processing skills using Google.

  • Experience of coordination/booking meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Any experience within social care etc. would be an advantage
  • Some knowledge of the health and social care sector.
