An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (HIOW) to appoint an efficient and motivated Admin Coordinator to work within our 0-19 Children and Family Services team based Chase Hospital. You will be joining a leading organisation that is both forward thinking and innovative. The Admin Coordinator is integral to providing comprehensive administrative support to the clinicians who support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to children, young people, and families living within Hampshire. The Admin Coordinator will work in collaboration with the clinical and non-clinical team members and will have responsibility for managing the administrative process for booking appointments, managing referrals and transfers in and out of the team using the Open RiO electronic patient system, in accordance with standard operating procedures. Applicants must have excellent IT skills and be prepared to work in other bases when necessary. Open only to applicants from Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS system, which is limited to; Hampshire IOW Healthcare NHS Trust, Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust, South Central Ambulance Service or Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.Main duties of the job With a positive approach to customer care you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, prioritise your workload and manage your time efficiently.

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support to the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service that supports delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to children, young people and families living within Hampshire.
  • Work closely with the Administrative Lead for delegation of day to day duties, with the Admin Manager having management responsibility for administrative processes within the team and Clinical Team Lead for the overall management of the team.
  • To work in collaboration with the clinical and non-clinical team members and will have responsibility for managing the administrative process for booking appointments, managing referrals, discharges and transfers in and out of the team using the Open RiO electronic patient system, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • To delegate tasks to Team Administrators and Team Administrator Apprentices to deliver excellent customer service to service users and ensure the smooth running of the team.
