Full Job Description

  • A range of front of house administration duties. Provide a professional front of house service to welcome internal and external visitors.
  • Answering the phone
  • Organising team meetings online and in person.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to operate within a constantly changing environment.
  • Preparation and distribution of good quality documentation from our service.
  • Provide written, verbal and e-correspondence.
  • To be responsible for accuracy and timeliness of data inputted.
  • Retain up-to-date and accurate records of financial transactions on our IT systems, including the payment of invoices, purchase orders and petty cash, card readers, on-line payments, and P cards
  • Be compliant with all Action for Children policies.
  • Weekly stock checks and ordering.

    Action for Children is commissioned to provide a therapeutic service for Children in Care in Derby and Derbyshire. This is a large complex service, with a big multidisciplinary staff team including Psychologists and Therapeutic Practitioners delivering a range of interventions. We are looking for a compassionate, ambitious, and skilled administrator, ideally with experience within a social care or health setting, to join us as we grow to our next phase., Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or work experience
  • Experience of using the Microsoft Suite including, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other databases, to produce presentations and statistical data for the Department.
  • Have a good understanding of data protection and confidentiality both oral and written.
  • To work within a team environment, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with other members of staff and where necessary to direct and guide.
  • Effective communication written and oral to a range of different personnel.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others.
  • Good to know.
