Working in an admin role at GCHQ means playing a key role in the service behind the UK's Intelligence Services. By providing mission-critical business support, you'll have a hugely positive impact at the heart of what we do. As an Administrative Officer, you'll be assigned to a specific team depending on business needs, where you'll be expected to stay for a minimum of 18 months. You could be posted to a wide range of teams/departments including IT, Strategy and Technology teams. Each business area offers diverse challenges and interesting insights. Day-to-day, you might be organising meetings, managing information and records, booking travel, or looking after visitors to our buildings., Upon joining, you'll attend a short induction course to give you a broader understanding of our organisations and the way we work. You might have just finished school, graduated, or already be working in an admin-related role and want to bring your skills somewhere new. You'll need a minimum of two GCSEs in Maths and English Language at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent. We're looking for people with lots of initiative, good collaboration and organisational skills, alongside a desire to deliver great customer service. You'll be comfortable working in a team but also able to take the initiative and proactively manage your workload. You'll also need to be comfortable talking to a range of people and able to pay close attention to detail.
