Full Job Description

You are invited to apply for the post of Administrator based at University Hospital Southampton supporting the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences.
This post is within the Faculty Operating Service (FOS), Faculty of Medicine. The FOS is a professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations (ADoFO's). The service works with Faculty Deaneries and Senior Leadership Teams to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculty core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.
As an Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to senior academic staff within the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine.
You will apply a good working understanding of administrative systems to answer queries and resolve a range of problems from colleagues and external customers. You will be expected to assist the Senior Administrator and the Operations Manager with the delivery of School and Faculty tasks or projects where necessary.
The post is offered as 28 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Interview date - week commencing - 16 September 2024 (tbc)
You must have previous experience within an administrative role and be able to work independently, to manage workload and meet tight deadlines, and work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role and awareness of University processes and regulations would be an advantage.
