Are you an administrator looking to come and join a friendly and professional team in Tunbridge Wells District which is a beautiful
part of Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a welcoming and friendly team.
Administrators within the Health Visiting Service play an important role in ensuring that all administrative elements of the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to families with a new baby or child under five-years-old are co-ordinated and delivered effectively. Main duties of the role include: receiving and processing referrals, booking appointments, maintaining accurate computerised records of patients reports and letters, updating trackers and database systems. There may also be the requirement for Administrators to provide reception duties to enable the efficient delivery of services from Family Hubs and other community settings., Overall activities of the post-holder will include:

  • Facilitating the delivery of outstanding care by applying customer care principles when providing routine and complex information and guidance to patients, carers, relatives or colleagues, both verbally and in writing. This includes communicating in a professional and compassionate manner, especially when there may be barriers to understanding for example anxious patients, cultural differences, and language or communication difficulties. Responsibilities will include acting as a first point of contact for enquires by telephone, email and face to face, liaising with colleagues in other teams, services and directorates and assessing, resolving and escalating team issues.

  • Ensuring the team operates effectively by undertaking comprehensive administrative tasks, such as handling team correspondence, scheduling appointments, clinics and meetings, managing agendas, diary management for the team, task related problem solving, maintaining stock of equipment and supplies and completion of standard forms, surveys and audits.
