Full Job Description

The British Museum is seeking an experienced Administrator to play an integral role as part of a job share within a team providing administrative support across the Learning and National Partnerships department.
In this role you will handle a diverse workload, including day-to-day management of the department's general and restricted budgets using the Unit4 ERP software package to order goods and services, processing invoices, making travel arrangements for colleagues, and daily monitoring of financial records. Other duties include processing monthly payroll submissions for zero hours colleagues and providing support to senior staff to organise diaries and meetings (in person and online) as well as taking minutes at some of those meetings., The British Museum is committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all staff and job applicants. The successful candidate will be educated to A-level standard with demonstrable administrative experience including procurement and budget management. You will have experience of using Outlook and interacting directly with visitors.
As a motivated and proactive individual, you will work well as part of a team and will be able to cope well under pressure. With excellent communication skills in all areas, you will have the ability to deal tactfully and professionally with a wide range of people.
