Full Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference and being an essential part of the day to day running of services?, We are looking for an experienced Administrator to be an integral part of our Enhanced Patient Observation specialist services, which include the Trust's Dementia Services and our newly formed Enhanced Patient Observation Team.

You would be joining us at an exciting time of change and development, where our clinical team members are focussed on supporting wards to deliver high quality patient care.

The role includes providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support to enhance the ability of the services to run efficiently.

You will be part of an enthusiastic, passionate and inclusive team which encompasses the values and behaviours of our staff at UHL., To provide courteous, responsive, effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the Dementia Services and Enhanced Patient Observation (EPO) management team within the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, including meetings and committees associated with the team.

  • To be responsible for booking meetings and rooms.

  • To be a point of contact in dealing with queries through email and telephone, including redirecting calls and taking messages.

  • To manage and implement audits and data collection as necessary to meet Trust governance requirements and provide data for reports as required.

  • To monitor effective use of consumables, including stationery; identification and reduction of waste and improvement in cost efficiency

  • To be responsible for working within, applying and implementing Trust policies and proposing changes to operational working practices and procedures, including supporting the management team with performance, attendance, training and appraisals.

  • Effective communication skills and be required to engage with a range of stakeholders, including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills.

  • Due to the personal, sometimes sensitive, nature of information handled, it is imperative that absolute confidentiality is maintained.

  • To deal with and communicate highly sensitive and confidential information, being able to distinguish between what is and is not available for public view.
