Full Job Description

1. To provide administrative and office support to our School Health Team.
2. The role is varied, working within skill mix teams, where excellent communication and keyboard skills are essential. Duties include maintaining electronic records within the boundaries of the role, making and answering telephone calls and queries from patients/carers and health professionals in a clear, concise and professional manner, as well as IT and keyboard skills and general office duties, including confidential filing, ordering of goods, faxing and photocopying of sensitive information. The post holder may be required to work at other locations to ensure equitable service delivery; therefore you will need the ability to travel across the Trust for work purposes when required.
3. Ensure the delivery of the quality strategy within the designated area incorporating establishment of systems and processes., Reporting directly to the Admin Manager/Supervisor
First point of contact within the admin team for the clinical team leaders
Be the front line contact for the School Health Service. Communicate professionally and effectively with all service users (children, young people, parents / carers), the general public and all internal and external agencies both verbally and non-verbally in a timely
Liaise with colleagues at all levels both within the team and across other agencies and organisations.
Use own initiative when prioritising voice mail messages, ensuring that all are responded to in a timely manner
Transfer relevant information to all health and social care providers as requested by School Health or Line Manager.
Provide accurate, up to date, non-clinical information directly to service users.
Attend and contribute to departmental/team meetings.
Adapt communication skills to deal with pupils/ parents / carers who may have hearing, visual or language/cultural barriers and cognitive disabilities
Maybe exposed to verbal aggression over the phone, and often communicate with people angry or upset in a sensitive situation which will be dealt with appropriately and professionally using listening skills and ensuring that our comments are perceived in a professional and accurate way
Liaising with Child Health Department to inform of children new to the country, ensuring all information obtained is relayed complete and accurate.

We have an exciting opportunity for an efficient administrator to support in our Community Division clinical teams.
The successful candidate will have good organisation and people skills, be computer literate and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high-quality administrative support service.
This is a community clinical support role, there is an expectation for the successful candidate to be flexible and support across the Community Division.
The successful candidate will have the ability to support service users whilst being professional, empathetic and understanding.
