Full Job Description

The TB service administrator is responsible for assisting the TB service in facilitating an efficient and effective BCG pathway which meets national standards supported by a high quality administrative service. The post holder will work under the supervision of the Lead nurse, and TB nursing team and will provide administrative support appropriate to the needs of the BCG pathway. Currently the BCG service takes place on the city campus, however future clinics may take place at QMC campus or the wider community, Will work closely alongside the current band 4 administrators whose key role is to provide administrative support for the TB services and BCG programme.

Will be responsible for carrying out telephone consultations prior to inviting eligible candidates for latent TB screening or BCG vaccination in the community or clinical setting.

To assist the TB team adding/removing patients to clinic lists and coordinating community clinics using trust systems;

Acting as a point of contact for patient enquiries and outcomes either by phone (inbound/outbound calls) or letter;

To amend patient information and keep records up to date

To attend BCG clinics meet and greet patients.

To word process nurse-led clinic appointment letters To outcome patient clinical visits using Medway Pas.

Ability to exchange sensitive or contentious information with diplomacy and in a confidential manner;

Manage e-mail accounts to retrieve Inter Provider Transfers then record and take any necessary action as appropriate;

Ensure RTT patient data quality is accurate at all times
