Full Job Description

Plan, organise and provide administrative, clerical and family support functions for the school and its staff, ensuring that services are provided in an efficient, effective and timely way and in compliance with the requirements of the Young Foundations Group and the school management team.

  • Maintain and manage all the school's computer systems, in line with management information needs, referring agencies, examinations, inspecting and other statutory bodies, to ensure referrals and pupil records and reports are current and accurate.
  • Maintain record keeping in accordance with the policies and procedures in place in school, including case studies.
  • Maintain and manage the Purchase Ledger system and petty cash process, as required by Young Foundations.
  • To act as a point of contact in school for families in need of support and to build effective relationships with families.
  • Handle internal and external enquiries, reception of visitors and a busy switchboard, ensuring that all visitors comply with school policy and procedures, including safeguarding and H&S.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • To support the Senior Leaders in identifying possible under attainment and under achievement linked to poor attendance or other barriers external or internal.

    A good level of academic qualifications including GSCE Maths and English.
  • Must be experienced and accomplished in the use of office software including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Able to deal with enquiries, correspondence and reports dealing with complex educational and professional issues.
  • Good standard of presentation and inter-personal skills both written and oral - able to act as a reliable and effective first point of contact.
  • Able to respond positively and constructively to changes in work requirements.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with a flexible approach in order to achieve results.

    Edan Court School is a brand new SEN school which will have capacity for 24 pupils with the school planned to open February 2025.
