Administrators within the Health Visiting Service play an important role in ensuring that all administrativeelements of the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to families with a new baby or child under five-years-old are co-ordinated and delivered effectively. Main duties of the role include: receiving and processingreferrals, booking appointments, maintaining accurate computerised records of patients reports and letters,updating trackers and database systems. There may also be the requirement for Administrators to providereception duties to enable the efficient delivery of services from Family Hubs and other community settings.
The Administrator role is varied and fast paced requiring a flexible and responsive approach, with the ability todeal with questions or issues that are challenging in nature. Administrators provide essential support to theclinical teams which includes providing administrative cover for the Health Visiting duty line on a rota basiswhich operates Monday to Friday 9am-5pm which manages both routine and complex information andguidance to families and colleagues internal and external to the Trust. Administrators also offer support withadministrative duties associated with safeguarding workstreams which requires a high degree ofconfidentiality and sensitivity., Administrators provide comprehensive administrative support to an entire team or group of people within alocality, which includes having a thorough understanding of the team's operations and daily activities.Administrators oversee performance activity, ensure elements of the patient journey are co-ordinated andsupport short term projects.Administrators are an integral part of service delivery and as such professionals in this position have excellentpeople skills, are great at multi-tasking and prioritising as well as being incredibly organised., The data we collect helps us to ensure we are attracting diversity in our applicants, that all our colleagues have equitable access to career opportunities and supports us on our journey to being a Great Place to Work
