Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the North West Community Mental Health Team for Older People based at Unither House, Chertsey. We are looking to appoint a full time band 4 admin/medical secretary. The position will be located within the Woking CMHTOP in the first instance, but you will work flexibly across the North West CMHTOP administration team to support a wide range of administrative tasks.

You will need to be an enthusiastic, conscientious team player with a "can do" attitude and be able to follow procedures but use your own initiative when required. Key responsibilities will include providing first rate secretarial support for the consultant, middle grade and junior doctor, taking minutes at the weekly MDT and business meeting, handling referrals and communicating with service users, carers and other health professionals. You will need to liaise with the rest of the team and work alongside the team's band 3 administrators, providing reception cover where necessary., Provide secretarial support to the Woking CMHTOP medical team, Consultant and resident doctors. Book appointments on the patient record system for clinics and individual consultations, actioning requests generated from the care plan.

Update case notes on patient record system as required

Provide day to day supervision and monitoring of workload for Band 3 team administrator.

Undertake regular managerial supervision and appraisal of administrators within the team, in conjunction with Band 5, if applicable.

Monitor annual leave requests and sickness absence for manager, as required

Extract data from data warehouses when requested

Type up reports incorporating graphics and tables as required

Answer telephone calls and relay any messages in a timely manner

Create bespoke documents for the team, such as leaflets etc.as required.

Arrange team events, as required

Monitor data quality of administrative input
