Full Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Information Manager, the IS administrator will provide comprehensive administration support to the information services team and the wider SEA directorate. The role includes providing office administration and project management support, including administrative support to senior managers; managing meeting arrangements and workshops; arranging travel and accommodation; and administering financial transactions. This post is fixed term for 12 months until February 2026., The post holder will support the IS team in delivering a comprehensive information service to NICE, providing general administrative support across the SEA directorate with the following key responsibilities: 1. Contribute to the delivery of a document supply service across the whole of NICE 2. Provide office administration and project management support, including administrative support to senior managers 3. Contribute to the development of new processes within the team, including records and spreadsheets 4. Manage meeting arrangements including; preparing meeting agendas, minute taking and liaising with meeting attendees about their contributions 5. Organise workshops, focus groups and webinars including managing invites, developing agendas, and distributing papers 6. Arrange and book travel and accommodation, and monitor financial transactions 7. Provide administrative processes to support the delivery of discreet projects 8. Provide administrative support for the planning and delivery of the biannual Joint Information Day. The post is located within the information services team but works across the wider SEA directorate. This entails a flexible approach to work activity, meaning that the specific tasks assigned to the post-holder may change in response to business needs.

The Science, Evidence and Analytics (SEA) Directorate is responsible for ensuring that NICE uses the best available evidence in its guidance to support decision makers across health and care. Collaboration is fundamental to the directorate's approach. We work closely with our guidance producing centres to make sure we are using the best methods and approaches in the development of our products. The Information Services (IS) team is made up of approximately 30 information professionals and provides information expertise for the development of NICE guidance and advice programmes by finding and organising evidence. The team also provides a corporate library service to NICE including document ordering, information skills training, current awareness bulletins and expert literature searches. The team is research active, contributing to the body of knowledge in the information profession by publishing journal articles.
