Full Job Description

As an Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and business support services to to the Apprenticeship Team within the London Fire Brigade training contract, ensuring the Apprenticeship Programme is supported to the highest standards across various platforms and sites.

Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is in order and prepared for 'Training Sign-Up'

  • Update and maintain the Delegate Log ensuring records are accurate and data is always up-to-date

  • Create and maintain data entries, ensuring they are accurate and carried out within set timescales

  • Ensure all apprenticeship invoicing/purchases are accurately recorded and receipted in set timescales.

  • Support the London Fire Brigade with Pass out Parades including the printing and distribution of Certification

  • Facilitate Welcome Days including the distribution of equipment.


  • This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and offered on a 52-week fixed term contract. The role provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. The main site will be Harrow, however occasional travel may be required to other training sites, including Park Royal and Union Street.

  • Administration experience: Learning or Educational background (advantageous)

  • Effective communications skills: Both written and verbal

  • People skills: Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders

  • Organisation and prioritisations skills: Flexible, with the abilitiy to manage multiple tasks and dealines


  • Qualifications for the Administrator
  • IT Literate: Intermediate level Mircrosoft Office applications, including Excel and Word

  • A minimum of GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/ 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2


  • Security Clearance
    The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DBS and BPSS clearance for this role.
