Full Job Description

The Allergy Admin supports the Adult Allergy Service by ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Key responsibilities include managing patient communications, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, maintaining electronic and paper records, and performing general NHS office tasks such as answering phones, filing, and taking meeting minutes. The role involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, assisting with clinical administration tasks, and supporting the Lead Nurse with operational activities, reporting, audits, and meeting arrangements. Essential skills include strong written and verbal communication, the ability to prioritize and manage workloads, and the capacity to build effective relationships within the team and with external partners. This position is crucial for maintaining high-quality service delivery and supporting the overall functionality of the allergy service., The Allergy Admin post involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the multi-disciplinary team, working closely with allergy clinicians and the Lead Nurse. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, handling all forms of correspondence, and processing various referrals, such as food and drug challenges, immunotherapy, and outpatient follow-ups. The role requires booking all allergy service appointments, including day-case and follow-up sessions for specific treatments. Additionally, the post-holder arranges patient transport and advocacy services when needed. Support for clinicians extends to assisting with projects, research, and audits. The role also includes managing departmental maintenance, procurement orders, and auditing stock levels.
