Full Job Description

As the Administrator / Coordinator you will have worked in a similar position, providing your expertise to your employer. The role will involve operating as part of our national plant/transport department and will be to ensure that the administrative elements of the department are processed in accordance with the Company s policies and procedures. This role reports to the Transport Manager. In this role we are looking for you to progress, we will teach and mentor you for the Transport aspect of the role, with the vision to one day become the Transport Manager for the Business Unit. On completion of training, your responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):

  • Assist with organising MOT s / Servicing / Inspections for our fleet of vehicles
  • Ensuring that driver inductions, license checks, training records and vehicle compliance are up to date and in accordance with company and legal requirements
  • Managing vehicle insurance, tax, toll charge systems and the processing and day to day management of PCN s, fuel cards, driver contraventions etc.
  • Maintaining and reconciling fuel supplies internal and external. Including Fuel card management.
  • Route planning for CAT2 special types
  • Ensuring department compliance with the purchase ordering and goods received process to ensure accurate cost and utilisation data is being managed
  • Assisting with maintaining the companies FORS accreditation to silver standard
  • Production of internal and external reports and close monitoring of utilisation - key measure
  • Contributing to the success of the Plant and Transport department, supporting the other team members as required, In this role you will be in liaison with your stakeholders across the Tarmac and our external partners.

  • Good administrative, oral and written communication skills, along with a strong ability of organisational skills for both reactive and proactive work
  • Computer literate with Microsoft and Excel competence - this is essential in this role
  • Good understanding of customer service expectations and excellent telephone manner
