Full Job Description

Carrying out routine entry of information and scanning of patient notes onto the SystmOne database Monitoring of stationery cupboards and medical storeroom for stock and support in the ordering of service stationery and medical supplies when required. Forwarding discharge summaries and other letters to patients and general practitioners. Contacting patients by telephone to communicate changes to visit dates etc. To carry out general office tasks such as sorting incoming mail, franking outgoing mail, photocopying and keeping the office tidy. To accurately record information on Trust IT systems and databases. To answer incoming calls, dealing with enquiries in a helpful manner, proactively taking action where appropriate. To deal with enquiries, correspondence and information received by the service in conjunction with other staff., Interview arrangements will be communicated via email so please check your email regularly following the closing date. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join our Planned Care team based in Hemel Hempstead, Dacorum, working thirty hours per week. We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible administrator to work within the planned care service based at Hemel One in Hemel Hempstead (we are planning to move to the Forum, Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead in January 2025). The role will encompass a variety of administration skills to deliver a comprehensive administration service within a busy office environment. It is essential that you are highly proficient in IT skills including Word, Excel and email, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of the SystmOne electronic health record software would also be an advantage. The role is interesting and varied but extremely busy and includes answering the telephone, contacting patients regarding visit times, helping to maintain and update patient records and helping with maintaining stock levels. You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and the service, produce accurate work, meet deadlines and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
