24 months fixed term - 30 hours per week - Monday - Friday
An opportunity has arisen for an administrator for 24 months fixed term to join the Spinal team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital to support the Unit and team in all administrative tasks / electronic referral system / Typing and supporting all the consultants and teams.
To be responsible for assisting the teams in the unit with administration and typing.
The post holder will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary unit and deal with telephone and in-person queries, audio typing of medical and general correspondence, general office administration in line with the Trust guidelines, booking patient appointments in line with Trust guidelines and the 18 week pathway (RTT) rules, booking appointments., We are seeking a administrator who has previous or current knowledge with hospital processes or similar, which includes, RNOH Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is the largest orthopaedic hospital in the UK and a global leader in our field. For more information, please access the following link: https://www.rnoh.nhs.uk, To assist in the provision of administration for the spinal consultants and their teams, to type clinic letters and other clinical or general correspondence from digital audio dictation/proof reading from digital dictation
Book all patients appointments working alongside the RTT policy for patients pathways via ERS /Path point system
To oversee all outcomes from clinic, making sure patients attendance / Imaging requests and therapy requests have been actioned by the clinical team
Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries and written queries promptly and efficiently, including appointment booking Work as a team with the other medical secretaries/administrators as directed by the Unit Co-ordinator/Service Manager to ensure a high quality service is maintained at all times during office hours
Undertake appropriate scanning and filing of correspondence, clinic notes, test results, etc, using Note On.
